“Remember, where your treasure is, your heart is also.” Matthew 6:21
Your annual tithing pledge to Holy Family is crucial. It allows the Finance Council to accurately budget the needed funds to support the parish programs and ministries for the upcoming fiscal year. Although everyone’s contribution will be different, when it comes to the financial support of our church family, the biblical ideal is a tithe—or 10%—of one’s income. Our Catholic Church leaders suggest giving 5% to the church and 5% to charity.
Most Catholics who tithe reach this ideal gradually. In this area of stewardship, one of the most important steps to consider is to become an “intentional giver”—as opposed to a “loose change giver.” An intentional giver is one who has the willing diligence to “do the math,” that is, to look at his/her annual income and then prayerfully and intentionally decide what percentage should be set aside for the support of the church and for charity.
Online Giving:
Between demanding schedules, traveling, or just trying to get out the door on time for Mass, it can be challenging to tithe on a regular basis as God calls us to do. Plus, for many families, the parish is one of the last places where you still have to use a checkbook or cash. Not any more. Holy Family is excited to offer online giving for one-time as well as recurring gifts! The easiest way to contribute to the parish is to donate online. This allows you to make regular donations from your checking, savings, or credit card account. Online giving is not only easy, but it's also safe and secure.
Donations can be designated for Holy Family’s Sunday Offering, the Restoration Fund, Memorial Donations, second collections, and/or special projects and needs throughout the year. There are times when church projects and programs will request in-kind items. The office can provide receipts for these donations.
Internet Banking:
If you do not sign up for Holy Family’s secure online giving, you can still enjoy the ease of automated payments. Many banks allow you to make one-time or multiple payments online. Use your bank’s website and follow their instructions. Remember, your payment should tell us what it is for.

Church Envelopes:
Envelopes give you a way to regularly contribute to several causes in addition to Sunday Offering. If you choose not to give online, you can contact the Parish Office at (315) 823-3410 to continue to utilize envelopes for your donations.
Collection Plate:
We gladly accept cash donations, however, if you want us to record your contribution and include it on your end-of-year statement for income tax purposes, we can only do so if you use envelopes, contribute by check, or donate via egiving.
