Holy Family Parish is blessed to have such beautiful, historic, and one-of-a-kind stained-glass windows in our church. Author Louis Baum spent countless hours over several years researching and writing a book describing the story of each window. Both Louis and Jean Ronan (who assisted in the project) have graciously donated all their time and efforts to complete this book project. The book will be available at all Masses to view this weekend (Feb 18th-19th) and next weekend (Feb 25th-26th). Now that the book has been completed, the parish is offering it for purchase for only $20 each (to cover cost). Upon receiving your prepayment, we will order the books. Order forms are available in church or by calling/visiting the Parish Office. Please enclose payment with your order. Order soon! (We plan to place the first book order on March 6th.) Upon arrival of the books, we will notify you.

Catena and Deacon Carbone Annunciation Church-Ilion/Our Lady Queen of Apostles-Frankfort, welcomed 30 Confirmands to the completion of baptismal grace on Sunday, October 30th. For “by the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized, are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.” Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. A special shout out to parents who guided their children to receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit! Through Confirmation and their support, the Holy Spirit now gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation. Congratulations to all!

It’s that time of year again to help bring joy to children. Holy Family is teaming up with Cross Catholic Outreach, which is an organization that provides aide to transform the poor and their communities in third world countries. So many children go without a gift for Christmas. We can make their Christmas a little happier by providing them with a “Box of Joy”—filled with a variety of gifts. The ages of the kids are: Boys & Girls 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14. Anything you buy should be age appropriate and small enough to fit in a shoe box. To make it easier for everyone and to keep track of the boxes, they will be assembled and will be kept in the Parish Office to fill as merchandise is brought in. There will be a container in the Holy Family vestibule where you can drop off items specified on the flyer by Saturday, October 8th or Sunday, October 9th or you can drop items off at the Parish Office at 763 E. Main Street, Little Falls, NY. There will also be envelopes that you can make a monetary donation if you prefer to do that. The boxes will be mail them all together through UPS. If you have questions, please call Debbie Kuehnle at (315) 823-3410. Your participation is greatly appreciated!

God our Creator, we give thanks to you, who alone has the power to impart the breath of life as you knit each of us together and fashioned our inmost being in our mother’s womb; grant we pray, that we, whom you have made stewards of creation may remain faithful to this sacred trust and constant in safeguarding the dignity of every human life. We pray also for a spirit of conversion in those who allow or promote a culture of death, most especially those charged with public office; that they may see and acknowledge the truth and recognize their ongoing responsibility to guard and defend every human life from conception to natural death. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen
