The Festival, with free admission, will be held at Ward’s Square/Eastern Park at East Main Street, Little Falls, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Live entertainment at the Gazebo includes The New Harmony Rocks band, Helen’s Dixielanders, Celtic Craic, an Irish Dance Experience, and Caribbean Steel Drum Sound. The festival will be held rain or shine, but in case of rain, entertainment will be moved to Holy Family’s gym.
Kid’s activities include a Bounce House and 18 ft. high Inflatable Rock Climbing Wall, kid’s caricatures and balloon sculptures, and the Utica Zoomobile tent. There is a fee for the bounce house and rock climbing wall.
Food offerings include food trucks, fried dough by St. Joseph Church, and a Holy Family Parish snack tent. There will be 50/50 and basket raffles, and a chocolate chip cookie contest.
Guided tours of the historical church will be offered throughout the festival. Known as the "Cathedral of the West,” experience and view the magnificent high altar, priceless John Hardman & Company of Birmingham, England, stained glass windows, and learn the history behind Holy Family Parish (formerly St. Mary's Church), built in 1879. Free guided tours are at 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass will be offered at 5 p.m.
Parking options include a free shuttle service. Park vehicles at the Riverside Industrial Park, Industrial Parkway, in front of Building 93, the Herkimer ARC building, a quarter mile from the entrance. The shuttle will run continuous loops from 12:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to and from the festival and Riverside Industrial Park. The approximate loop time is less than 10 minutes. The shuttle is equipped for wheelchairs.
