The Sacrament of Confirmation along with the sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist constitute the “Sacrament of Initiations.” The reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For by the Sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence, they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. Confirmation more perfectly binds the faithful to the Church, and it enriches them with a special strength in the Holy Spirit to enable all of God's children to proclaim and defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ more boldly.
If you have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation, please speak to Fr. Slezak by contacting the Parish Office at (315) 823-3410.
