While global leaders impose more sanctions on Russia and plead with Mr. Putin to stop the invasion, he seems more determined than ever to conquer Ukraine. He recently shared with another global leader that “the invasion is going exactly as planned.” Unless a miracle occurs, the last two weeks are a good indication of what to expect. In words, it doesn’t look good for Ukraine.
If you had the power to end the war would you exercise that power? Sometimes the best recourse is the only recourse. Our Lady told the children at Fatima, “Pray the rosary every day to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war.” If everyone prayed the Rosary, the war would end. Putin’s blatant obstinacy and massive military would be no match for Our Lady’s intercession.
The Rosary is not just for times of crisis or war. It helps us to better conform our lives to the life of Christ. It softens our hearts and makes us better disposed to receive and cooperate with God’s grace. May our faithful recitation of this great spiritual weapon usher in an era of peace for all of mankind.
Join us Friday, March 25th at 6 p.m. at Holy Family Parish Church to pray and pray the Rosary for peace in Ukraine and the world.
