The Church is in a time of great transition where people are leaving due at least in part to an outdated implementation of faith formation rooted in programs or modeled after classroom education. The numbers show that the classroom-based model is no longer effective at transmitting the Faith. For this reason, Holy Family and St. Joseph are changing our strategy. The weekly religious instruction program for children held on Sunday mornings will be no more. Starting in September, families, parishioners—young and old—will be invited to gather in the gym Sunday evenings from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. once a month.
